Antibody Purification

Antibody purification is based on selective affinity interactions between antibodies and ligands immobilized on chromatographic matrices. Common ligands such as Protein A, Protein G, Protein L, and Protein A/G enable efficient capture of immunoglobulins through binding to the Fc or light chain regions, depending on antibody class and species. This approach allows rapid and highly selective purification under mild conditions. Bound antibodies are typically recovered by elution under controlled pH conditions.
